Vishal Gupta


Dreams are tempting and have caliber of piloting projects of utmost degree of substance. Last time we saw how Paul Basil dream of transforming Rural India led to the foundation of Villgro. This time it’s Vishal Gupta, an Electrical Engineering graduate from IIT Bombay and a specialist in biometric security systems whose dream on ideation in fingerprint imaging led to the foundation of Seclore Technology in the year 2005.

Vishal Gupta is in the business of keeping secrets. Besides being the founder he looks after the company execution as its CEO and handles corporate development, investor relations and marketing. 

Seclore was blessed by the well known Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE) at IIT Bombay which helped the company grow in its nascent years. Knowledge and confidential information once leaked becomes a destructive entity. Seclore’s products FileSecure and InfoSource help mitigate the risk arising out of information breaches and regulatory non-compliance whilst enhancing collaboration.

As of now Seclore’s technology secures data on more than 100,000 computers and the vision is to make the technology omnipresent. Seclore is the leading provider of information security solutions in the area of information usage control, information rights management and secure outsourcing. Companies like ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Kotak Bank, L&T & Thyssenkrupp use Seclore's technology to secure data that is used internally or is shared with business partners.
